Overview

Fidelity International Real Estate (FIREX).  The investment seeks capital appreciation. The fund normally invests primarily in non-U.S. securities. It normally investing at least 80% of assets in securities of companies principally engaged in the real estate industry and other real estate related investments. The fund allocates investments across different countries and regions considering the size of the market in each country and region relative to the size of the international real estate securities market as a whole. It is nondiversified.

Current Fund Manager:  Steven J. Buller started 1/5/2007

Steve Buller is vice-president and portfolio manager for Fidelity Investments, one of the world’s largest mutual fund companies and a leading provider of financial services in Canada. Mr. Buller manages Fidelity Global Real Estate Fund for Canadian investors, as well as Fidelity Real Estate Investment Portfolio and Fidelity International Real Estate Fund for U.S. investors.

Mr. Buller joined Fidelity in 1992 as an analyst in the High Income Group, where he followed a variety of industries and later focused on distressed and bankrupt securities. In 1995, he joined Fidelity International Limited, in London, where he was responsible for establishing a credit process for the Fixed-Income Group. He managed Fidelity Select Environmental Services Portfolio from December 1997 until September 1998 and began managing Fidelity Real Estate Investment Portfolio in October 1998. Mr. Buller also managed Fidelity Advisor Real Estate Portfolio from September 2002 until October 2004 and VIP: Real Estate Portfolio from November 2002 to October 2005. He assumed responsibility for Fidelity’s institutional real estate accounts in October 2002 and began managing Fidelity International Real Estate Fund in September 2004. He assumed management of Fidelity Global Real Estate Fund available to Canadian investors in May 2006.

Born in 1967, Mr. Buller received a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance and German literature in 1990 and a Master of Science degree in finance in 1992, both from the University of Wisconsin. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and a member of the Boston Security Analyst Society.
